Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant with in-depth knowledge of EU accounting laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, compliance, and reporting. This role involves overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with EU regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the company’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

• Ensure compliance with EU accounting laws and regulations.

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.

• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.

• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.

• Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monitor performance against budget.

• Manage payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.

• Stay updated on changes in Czechia accounting laws and regulations and ensure the company’s compliance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of EU accounting laws and regulations.

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.

• In-depth knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and financial reporting.

• Proficiency with accounting software and financial management systems.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Fluent in English and Czech; additional EU languages are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience in the cryptocurrency or blockchain industry.

• Knowledge of international accounting standards (IAS/IFRS).

• Experience with tax compliance and reporting.
